    Actually I did the conversion myself, using a small 14.4v NiMH model car battery pack housed in the bonnet, and an IP engineering speed controller (mounted on a heatsink behind the front grille). On/off & direction switches behind the steps by the front buffer beam, and the speed changed via the vent / knob on the front of the bonnet which attaches directly to the pot.

    The loco runs well & I get about 3 hours continuous run off a single charge...
