Start a new game and make sure you lose all lives in hotel 1, level 1. Then save as 'B_ ' (bee, underscore, space). When you load this game, you can access all hotels, including the spectacular end-level.
# Dark Castle
Start a new games, and perform the following movements with the remote in the 'Great Hall': down, down, down, up, up, up, down, down. Now you can access all levels. The numbers at the bottom of the screen mean: 0-2 'Trouble'-levels, 3-6 'Fireball'-levels, 7-10 'Shield'-levels, 11-13 'Black Knight'-levels.
# The Seventh Guest
When you save a game under the name 'badger', you can select the chattering teeth in one of the corners of the screen. Press an action button to see an overview of all scenes of the game to which you can jump instantaneously.
# Burn:Cycle

  • CDiFan shared his information about emulating this system with the Mess Team ... No disrespect intended, but I see Mess taking emulation much further; I just don't think they'll have much in the ways of compatibility for another 4 or 5 years though. The late start being the only reason, but it does not seem CDiFan is really as interested in making this any better at least not anytime soon. I can respect that after all your just a slave to many who are looking to just get free games.

  • very interesting comment when i put this up here it was after hours of trying to get the bios because many of the forum geeks just wont help even though philips published a statement saying they wouldnt persue anyone using emulators for non profit makeing scheems as the tecnology is still used for comercial products whatever they may be

i gave up on emulation as i found out i can play downloaded games burnt to disc and have lots of fun with my air mouse gun and mad dog mcree etc

  • Many systems are under open platform limitations now in which open emulation will not be pursued as long as profit is not made.

CD-i is indeed one I also know 3DO, PS2 (i would guess psx) and Atari Jaguar and I suspect the other Atari Systems as well but with some the bios is allowed to be emulated but not copied directly.

I do not know exactly Phillips stance on emulation and what is allowed or not ...If you have links to the documentation could you point me in that direction?

  • i could probably find it within half hour of searching but seriously unless there is money to be lost or earned from emulators no company would be interested

i canot be bothered to search for any more than 5 mins to prove something i have stated

your right money is the only thing that drives people to do things unless there is a love like the guy sega hired to make there emulators because he had done such a good job

  • can't wait to try out the awful zelda games. :)

  • i got one of them wand of gamilon and its the controals that do you in

  • where to get hotel mario iso?

  • nitrorom's link is dead...

  • "You want it?"

    Me: "Yeah!"

  • I would love a full version of the cdi emulator, I have the demo but cant find a bios rom to make it work, its driving me nut's....please help...thank

  • If anyone wants the full version of the CDi emulator then msg me and I'll send it to you, along with the bios. When I say "full version" I mean no time limit.

  • Agreed. Emulators for games that can still contribute to their creators shouldn't be emulated; that would be called STEALING. "Aww, why do I have to pay $20 to by a game?"

  • I never said he. I said those that are pushing those with real responsibilities in life to make them an emulator so that they can have free games those are the people I am talking about. I agree on all grounds the rare games cost more than anyone should have to pay to see what was in the past. Also CD-i well they do break often and for many reasons they are not that durable in the long run and now they are all rather aged. But at some point I get tired of people whining and doing little else.

  • It's not that he wants free games, it's that finding a cdi is horrifying (let alone one that works), and hotel mario itself is rarely sold, and when either are sold, it's expensive beyond belief! $300? Oh yeah, and almost none of the cdi units have controllers. :(

  • how to install the bios?
