ITALERI 1/72 Camionetta AS 42 Sahariana - A Model (& Diorama) Building Review

Kit Rating: 10 / 10 (It's flawless)

Decal Rating: 10 / 10 (Decals in perfect register and performed very well with the aid of Johnsons KLEAR)

Most likely my best model of an armoured vehicle so far..

The figure did not come with the kit, but sampled from my spares box. (Most likely it was given to me by a fellow modeller at some point.)

@lallix97 I really like most of the Italian WWII armour and aircraft.. I have built (but have no video of) the Fiat CR.42 'Falco' as an Italian night fighter, and will build one in Swedish markings.. I also have two Caproni CA 313 kits, which I will build as a Swedish bomber, and as an Italian CA 314.. and much much more.. :)

@bruce3371 The 6 pounder is 99.9% done now, I just need to add some washes, but I will wait with any weathering until I know how the Bren turns out.. Will do the final touches on the gun tomorrow and post the video.. Still making my mind up if I should add the camo pattern or not, at the moment I'd rather just leave it plain olive drab.. :) NOW I really need to go back to bed, but the bedroom's like an oven.. :P

pint = paint :) It will be a long weekend, as I'm off Sunday night, due to attending the modelshow at RAF Museum Hendon all day.. :) Monday was intended to be spent doing modelling all morning but my wife had other plans.. :P

@bruce3371 Well, I'm yet to see how good my '6 pounder' will be.. it has a few flaws, but tht's the kit and not my skills.. :) Gave it a coat of pint this morning after work, and should hopefully complete it by tonight or tomorrow morning, and then I can post the video.. Have started on the figures of the Bren again as well, will do a bit more painting in a minute before I take the dog for a quick walk, and then hopefully return back to bed.. One more night, then it's the weekend.. :)

@BasicModelling Aah yes, the old bren carrier and 6 pounder combo, I used to have that myself, but ended up getting rid of the 6 pounder as I wasn't happy with the job I'd done of it. I still have the bren carrier though. Enjoy your night of fun and games ;)

@bruce3371 I admire you for still sticking to it.. I would have been climbing the walls after 5 months.. I'm behind with my 'Bren Carrier' already, but it's the figures slowing me down.. I've taken a break from it and am building a 1/35 Tamiya '6 pounder' gun to go with it instead, as Bren Carriers often towed guns et.c.. It's nice and easy, and as I'm not using the gun crew I don't have to worry about painting them. Now however I must dash off to work, for another night of fun and games.. :) :)
