Charismatic Episcopal Church

The International Communion of the Charismatic Episcopal Church, is a Convergence Church (Where the Traditions of the Catholic, Protestant, and Orthodox Communions of The One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ is intertwined! Simply put, a Church that Advocates Christian Reconciliation!). This Communion was started in June 26 1992 by a group of Charismatic, Pentecostal, Evangelical, Wesleyan and "Third Wave" Pastors who heeded the CALL OF THE HOLY SPIRIT for Christian Unity!

Our Church is called Episcopal, Because it is governed by Bishops (Episkopos in Greek)...

Our Apostolic Succession (Legitimacy of our Bishops) was CONFIRMED AND RECEIVED from three Churches, The Free Church of Antioch (1992), the Episcopal Missionary Church (1993) and the Brazilian Catholic Apostolic Church (1997, this Church was founded by the Former Roman Catholic Bishop of the Diocese of Botucatu and of Maura, His Excellency. Bishop Carlos Duarte Costa)

Our Hierarchy (Order of Church Governance/STEWARDSHIP):

Patriarch (Greek for Pope, He is the Presiding Bishop for our International Communion )

Territorial Archbishop (Presiding Bishop (Primate) for Our Continental Church ex: Asia, North America, South America, Africa, Oceania, Eastern Europe, Western Europe)

National Archbishop (Presiding Bishop For our National Church)

Provincial Archbishop (Presiding Bishop for our Provincial Church/Ecclesiastical Province)

Diocesan Bishop (Presiding Bishop of our Diocesan Church)

Auxiliary Bishop (He is the one Assisting the Bishop or Archbishop if it is needed)

Dean of the Cathedral/Arch-Priest (Right hand man of the Bishop)

The SAN CLEMENTE DECLARATION summarizes our CHRISTIAN FAITH AND WAY OF LIFE!

In earnest anticipation for a future revelation of the fullness of unity of the one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church, the International Communion of the Charismatic Episcopal Church adheres to these articles of unity exemplified by the undivided Church Catholic (from the Greek adjective καθολικός (katholikos), meaning "universal" and from the Greek phrase καθόλου (kath'holou), meaning "on the whole," "according to the whole" or "in general", and is a combination of the Greek words κατά meaning "about" and όλος meaning "whole". In other words: THE CHURCH OF CHRIST IS SCATTERED TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH, WITH PEOPLE FROM EVERY TRIBE AND TOUNGE, WORSHIPPING THE LAMB THAT ONCE WAS SLAIN AND BEING UNITED IN OUR FAITH AND RELATIONSHIP TO HIM WHO SITS ON THE THRONE AND UNTO THE LAMB BY THE POWER OF THE SPIRIT, NOW AND FOREVER MORE!) during the first eleven centuries:

1. The sacred Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as the written Word of God, the chief witness to apostolic teaching, the source of the Church's nourishment and strength.

2. The Apostles Creed as the Baptismal symbol; and the Nicene Creed as the sufficient statement of the Christian faith.

3. The Seven Sacraments established by Christ, including: Baptism, Eucharist, Confirmation, Confession/Reconciliation, Holy Matrimony, Holy Orders, Healing/Unction.

4. The Historic Episcopate in Apostolic Succession, the gift of Christ's authority to the Church and the trustee of the Church's fidelity to apostolic teaching.

@Zitzzzzz I am born again, Southern Baptist (thus an Orthodox Christian), I see that you are not part of the disgusting liberal Episcopal church (the very one 'Bishop' Gene Robinson is a part of), praise God for that. What is your view on women in ministry (I support it in light of Romans 16, as long as they are Biblicaly Orthodox)? What is your view on absolution?

@FratelloPietroPaolo Fratelli in Cristo... We are not under the full jurisdiction of the Holy Roman Church... We have our own Patriarch/Papa, and that is His Beatitude, the Most Reverend Archbishop Craig W. Bates... WE just need a Papa for order and not to spite the Catholic Church! We respect His Holiness, Pope Benedict XVI and the other Patriarchs of the Church!

We are a Communion of Convergence Christians! We are Catholic, Orthodox and Protestant/Reformed!
