  • Ok to clarify with anyone who thinks I've wasted time or money . . . First off, the parts i used in this circuit were scavenged and taken from old electronics and boards (so it didn't cost anything for me to make) and as for it being a waste of time . . . if circuitry and tinkering is my hobby, making this was not a waste of time, but a fun project for me to do. I put it in a guitar hero controller for kicks. It was fun to make and it was super cheap (except for the game itself . . .)

  • Well unfortunately i havn't had the time or money to get the parts i want, what i plan on doing is getting a EEPROM chip and programming it so that when no frets are pressed its cycles as show in the video. but Rather than having 6 red LEDs its get 1 of each fret colour plus a white one (for the strum bar) so when you push on a fret the matching LED will light up and stop the cycle and the white LED will flash when you strum. I'll used pressure pushbuttons to do this (no clicking sounds)

  • I used the PS2's USB port to power my custom made circuit which uses 3 "2n4401" transistors, 3 "100uF" electrolytic caps, 6 standard red LEDs (3 pairs), a single pole switch, and a few resistors (3x100K ohm, 1x470 ohm) and that's pretty much it, you have to know basic circuitry to understand the astable multivibrator circuit I used to make this

  • just a wast of time

  • @sontre555 what do you mean? it was probably pretty fun to make and cool to have, besides does any guitar hero guitar have any REAL use besides playing the game? (which is what he probably uses this for but with a little effect and creativity)

  • STAR POWER!!

  • GAY!!

  • Dude you have the same carpet and chair as me.... Freaky but cool mod man

  • unlike all these other jr. high girls, i admire the talent and work you put into your mod. i also love circuitry and modifying anything i own to make it a work of art. kudos!

  • i did a simmilar thing on my world tour guitar and i hooked the leds to the buttons
