DZRV RADYO VERITAS 846 cognizant of the current state of tertiary education in the Philippines has ventured in an undertaking which seeks to technically assist Mass Communication students from PLM (Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila), PUP (Polytechnic University of the Philippines), UDM (Universidad de Manila), PWU (Philippine Women's University), FEU (Far Eastern University) and AMA University by providing them with a weekly one-hour radio program dubbed as CAMPUS HOUR.

Through this on-air broadcast, RADYO VERITAS hopes to provide these students with the radio broadcast facilities and technical expertise (with values formation) necessary in augmenting the holistic learning in each of their respective learning institutions. Moreover, this project seeks to harness the creative potentials of these gifted students by allowing them to formulate and execute on their own a radio program (within the protocols of RADYO VERITAS and KBP) which will highlight this ingenuity that sometimes lie buried in the technical limitations of their campuses.

VERITAS 846 Campus Hour is a "hands-on" Radio Broadcast Exposure Experience for selected colleges and/or universities with Mass Communication courses. This project envisions empowering the students to plan, develop and implement for a period of one month a specially designed radio production to be aired via DZRV Radyo Veritas 846.

On a broader scale, the goal of this youth-oriented program conceptualized by Radyo Veritas 846 is to help build a HOLISTIC LEARNING ENVIRONMENT for the underprivileged Mass Communications students from some of the project's partner colleges and universities with limited radio broadcast facilities. With this program, we hope to help educate almost 5,000 students in the field of radio broadcasting with the values and technical expertise and facilities of DZRV RADYO VERITAS 846.

What Makes this program unique from all other youth-oriented radio programs? VERITAS 846 Campus Hour is a radio program solely conceptualized and managed by students from each of its partner college and/or university. DZRV Radyo Veritas 846 only provides the technical expertise and facilities for the students to harness their creative potentials necessary to bridge the classroom learning experience with the actual work environment. As a Teaching Radio Station, RADYO VERITAS provides the laboratory for learning for each and every student in their pursuit to hone their skills and potentials as future mass communication practitioners. The students shall likewise be tasked to promote their respective shows as part of their related learning experiences with the hope of making the axiom, "YOUTH serving YOUTH" a reality.

VERITAS 846 Campus Hour shall be aired every Saturdays starting August 14, 2010 from 2:30-3:30 in the afternoon. Each partner college and/or university shall conceptualize and manage the radio production for VERITAS 846 Campus Hour for a period of one month covering at least four episodes.

Who are target beneficiaries of this project? As earlier mentioned, VERITAS 846 Campus Hour aims to help train some of the underprivileged Mass Communication students from its partner learning institutions due to their very limited radio broadcast facilities, and since the partner college and/or university is likewise part of the promotional aspect of this project, the students from each of their campuses will likewise benefit from the values and inputs aired through each of their broadcasts.

We need your help! RADYO VERITAS 846 can provide the facilities and technical expertise for the students' "hands-on" radio broadcast experience. Your financial assistance can help shoulder the broadcast, food and transportation cost necessary to bring this project into realization. As a corporate patron, donor or benefactor, your support will greatly benefit the students and partner colleges/universities in this project. Please feel free to contact this program's creative team for any financial assistance you may so generously provide. Please call Mr. Jiro Seki at 0917-3903399 or Bro. Alberto Franscisco at 0910-3522802.

Like in any endeavor, the key to genuine change comes from the collective support of all its stakeholders, and DZRV RADYO VERITAS 846 stands committed in transforming our mass media landscape through its continued partnership with the academe in its thrust of preparing future radio broadcast practitioners. When we want to change for the better we must be willing to face all possible obstacles headstrong through our concerted efforts as a united community dedicated to genuine transformation
