RIP Woolley, King of the Mellotron. Saw this same tour at the Astoria in London which has now been pulled down for Crossrail.

I was looking for the studio version of this song that was released on the flip side of the single "Thank You" a few decades ago, and I ended up finding lots of live 10 min. versions, and I must say, this is one fucking spooky song.

We have played the UK and we may again. Told Les what you said about his hair;-))

BJH will always be,for me, John,Les, Mel and Wooley but times move on and this is good.
Has anyone out there seen Les Holroyds version ? He always seems to be touring abroad.
-
Saw BJH loads in Oldham and Manc..
-
By the way, for BJH fans, I`ve also put up a recent version of `The Poet / After The Day` on the BJH groups on Facebook. Check them out!

Nice recording. Have a look at my recent recording of `Medicine Man` from the Lowry Centre concert in Salford for comparison. Cheers.

a friend of mine who doesn't really ;-) like BJH told me he got a version of the 1973 live LPs, remastered now, and that "medicine man" is actually quite an outstandingly good version. Now where to get that from :-)...

if you`ve got the live version circa 78 (polydor).. bang it on the tube please
Yes, Craig Fletcher is bass with John and Woolly's BJH.
Les, original bass, has the other BJH. They sound different.
