I quite agree. I just think it's disgusting that Wolsey, who did so much, was so crudely tossed off like he was.

@ilovekitkats In reality wolsey died going to prison. In the tudors he arrives at prison and kills himself. The king loves Wolsey and has his suicide covered up by the illness. Poetic liscence.

@ilovekitkats actually the show's really accurate. I read a book on Henry VIII and his six wives and every scene that's described in the book (such as how Katherine gets down on her knees in front of Parliament to beg Henry not to annul their marriage) is in the series. But here they take advantage of the fact that Wolsey died mysteriously and make it dramatic. Isn't it a bit of a stretch to call it "the most inaccurate show ever"?

I love this scene, at I do agree whit jhs247, Sam Neil is a phenomenal actor. And I must ad, I don't think cardinal was such an evil man. Yes he directed a lot of the peoples and the kings money to hes own account. But he was a humanist, and he prevented war several times, never burned people on the stake and helped a lot of people rise. The same people that turned there back on him in the end. I think that this scene in the movie narrows all of that down, it is the perfect scene, thanks to Sam
