Ecopunk No.1 Makeup and fashion

Some tips and tricks to become an Eco-punk. Eco-punks take the eco from eco-friendly, and mash it up with the self-made independent edginess seen in punk and steam-punk. It's a great emerging fashion and lifestyle trend on the internet! :) DFTBA

We should all try to make the world suck less :). Start small, dream big. The next eco-punk thing is a blog, oooh, huge stuff I know. But I want to raise my voice, like Eco-geek does. If no-one tells the world there's a better way, then no-one will know, right?

im all for recycling, no waste, prevention of the spreading of diseases and infections, however, your video is slightly how should one put this...... OCD, your not a punk, stop using that word. By definition your makeup is gothic, and your statements are that of a eco- hippy, this is not a damaging comment, but if you must label yourself, do it properly. xxx

You are correct in saying eco-punk is not punk. I'm describing a novel idea by taking two existing concepts and mashing them together to make something that's new and distinct from either of its parts. Steam-punk is also not 'punk', it is a cool and unique concept. Do you make comments like this about steam-punk how-to style videos? Eco-punk is a neologism and Dakranon is exactly right about why I chose punk as part of the term. - F

Punk is a good word, it implies dissatisfaction with the status quo. And the status is not quo.

FOR HORSE'S SAKES PEOPLE! this is closer to PUNK than GOTH. Goth is NOT just a smattering of black, black and black. it's a combination of heavy, decadent cloths like velvet in dark jewel tones with a flare for classic styles that are more structural form fitting around the body. if you're going to try and correct someone's self label, then at least do some research about it first.

F&D, good for you for trying to be ecofriendly, but i think just a video of earth-friendly products will suffice.

I don't mean to be rude or something. Bot you're more eco goth. I don't know any ecopunks who use as much make up as you do, and certainly not make themselves look paler. Suntan IS ecopunk, because ecopunk is also about nature and living in the nature, eating from your garden and stuff.

I think, if you're trying to create a new concept, you should begin with something else other than make-up. I found this video alright, make up made without any crap taken from animals or tested on them but people might think eco punk is just part of fashion and I think that's not what you want is it? :)

Anyway I can say that you have my support in this new eco punk movement. It brings the idea of fighting for our planet, rioting for it and thats really awesome. we're two at least, now. ;)

I'd assumed there'd be a lot of Ecopunk culture brewing on the internet but I, so far, haven't found much evidence..

do some research in the ideologies of punk, hmmmm the movement during the eighties which once again went against the government and royalist fascism that brought the thatcherite britain to a devastating situation with the halting of the mines,steelworks,Chryslar and many more massive companies that destroyed the economy of the Uk, not only that the movement fashion wise that used the extreme and sometime violent approach, embracing the term punk rocker, yes Dakranon, im clearly very narrowminded

To me the term eco-punk suggests expressing your dissatisfaction with societies attitude towards the environment in a confronting way. And asking people to really think for themselves about their impact on the environment, and what they can do about it. i.e. not waiting for the government or other organisations to fix the problem.
