  • The performance was really nice as this was the piece was quite complicated.

The phrases were beautifully shaped. The runnings of the woodwinds were neat and clear. The brass was sounding great!! Very clear tounging.

HOWEVER, some sections seemed to be out of tune. (Oboe, horns)

IS THIS A DVD Video? I also want to have one!!

  • that oboe is out of tune. actually, in the second half, beginning in the slow section, there were a TON of pitch problems. and yes, i can talk. my highschool band is playing this and we correct those problems, or at least tune when we go off pitch. regardless, this sond is extrememly difficult and yall did play it extrememly well, but nothing sucks worse than an out of tune oboe. EXCELLENT french horns.

  • It's always nice to see kids playing in an orchestra :)

  • What kind of band is this??!!, i tried to figure it out but i couldnt some of these kids look like they're 10!!! BUT THEN I SAW AN OLD DUDE SOOO...........n then some collage kids

  • @justintimeparish Isn't it easier to tune an oboe rather than a timpany in the middle of the song?

  • the vals is very slow!!! :S

  • My high school band is playing this song!!

  • the parts around the 3:00 mark was painful to hear. the slow sections. because the intonation was atrocious. but nevertheless, i really like the sound of this band, the musical intentions for this piece is quite well expressed.

  • que desafinacion tan hp

  • how old are those little kids in this

  • I LOLed at the bassoonist landing on her note with authority at 2:39-2:40!

  • My high school is also doing this song, and there IS nothing worse then a flat oboe, especially on an oboe featured section. I'm a flute player (and may I say, coming from an all-female flute section, it's refreshing to see a few GUY players) and the runs are challenging, it took me quite a few practice hours to get it down, (and they're still not perfect). I love the horn part at the end of section B. This is a great song, and you guys did marvelous!
