Omni Trio - Feel Good(Remix)
Rob Haigh is actually the mind behind Omni Trio. They have an intricate, orchestrated drum 'n' bass style that has been acclaimed since the onset of the "ambient" or "intelligent" jungle scene in the '90s. Names such as L.T.J. Bukem, Spring Heel Jack, and TPower lead this scene, but Omni Trio has plenty to do with the overall feel of the movement. The first Omni Trio release, a series of 12-inches issued in distinctive, color-coded sleeves, appeared in the early '90s. Following the early hardcore and darkside techno, Haigh's tunes were among the first composed outside of jungle's immediate dance floor and were of the first to draw on a wide range of sources, including ambient, house, jazz, and soul. His first full-length album, Music For The Next Millennium, was released in '95 and contained many of the early 12-inch tracks: "Mystic Stepper" and "Renegade Snares," with some production and remix work by Foul Play on the latter. Haunted Science was released in '96. In addition to his successful career as a musician and remixer, he also owns and operates a record shop in Hertford.
