Filmed in Granada Studios in Manchester in 1981. Unfortunately Barney's guitar was much too loud for the first half of the song...

Line of force from heaven
A tear in a strangers' eye
When it goes forever
Where all things never die
People look whenever
These races have been won
Lives just go on breathing
When these moments have just begun

It's so far away
And it's closing in
It's so far away
It seems to draw me in

Taken from the killing ground
By an all-providing hand
With no sense or reason
They came down (??)
(??? forgive me, I'm not sure
what he's saying ???)
This is what I'm rolling for (???)
(?????)

  • I believe it is Gillian's guitar, not Barney's, which is too loud. The loud guitar continues when Barney holds the mic and starts singing.

  • Gillian is the most underrated musician in history. No Gillian, no New Order.

  • 4:08 ian curtis lives...

  • @radialaxis

That´s definitely Gillian´s guitar. Look at 1:20. The sounds don´t match the hand movements...

  • @greyagain either some kind of snare thats been highly EQ'd or electronic drums

  • other than the original version from the Movement album. this is def one of my favorite recordings of I.C.B

you can def see and hear the ghost of joy division and the influence of Ian's frontman style in this performance. young New Order was so damn good.

  • guau! summer posessed by curtis!!

  • @DJcaliban MUSHROOMS!!

  • is it me or do the guitars sound like shit?

  • @greyagain simmonds twin channel drum synthesizer

  • Stephen except drum kick/toms hi hat what is called this other 'thing' he's hiting & makes this tsf tsf noize?!

  • It's so good to have these videos, even if Gillian's guitar is too loud.

'Movement' was a cool album...."retrospective reviews for Movement have been very positive" says Wikipedia.
