Guns Don't Kill People, People Kill People

Yeah, guns do kill people, but they don't do it by themselves, people have to use the guns in order to do the killing. You have to address peoples' mentalities and violent intentions before you address guns and violence in general. Even with stricter gun laws or guns not being used at all, people will find other ways to kill people.

In 1997 england confiscated and destroyed all legally owned handguns, by 1999 the use of handguns in crime had gone up 40%. Yea um the criminals will find ways of killing each other and the innocent if you ban guns. They will get guns illegaly. Heck crime in england has skyrocketed since their ban, now there is more crime in the UK then in the US thanks to their ban.

@bigbenusa45 I believe that. Some people really feel that stricter gun laws or banning guns completely will reduce crime and that's nonsense in my opinion. You're right, people will just continue to get guns illegally (which a lot of people do already anyway).

@patzdatdude Get guns illegally or perhaps even make them. I'm pretty sure that any competant machinist or any gunsmith with experience machineing or who knows how to use a lath could make an AK-47 or 1911 from scratch.
