What amazes me is that most sopranos are multi lingual, historically aware, very well read, well-travelled, resident (to cope with career demands) and notoriously intelligent. Not quite your average pop singer…

@umroo2014 Have you seen Ms Price and Horne's rendition?.. It's perfection!!!.. DiDonato and Fleming are very very good, but Price's rendition is superlative for me.. :)...

Both wonderful instruments; the big difference, for me, being that Di Donato really knows how to act, where as Fleming is just so showy.

I just can't listen to anyone else's Guarda sorella after listening to this...this is the best rendition, in my opinion.

Simply awesome!! The interplay between these two artists is stunning. Joyce DiDonato is wonderful but I prefer the Renee's voice. It's simply a personal choice - I listen to Renee's jazz, rock and opera albums and I can't get enough of her - no matter the genre!
