  • I was changing my rear shoes.. and we ended up breaking the wheel cylinder.. then we tryed to get that out and broke the brake line... its going to the shop now.. its ok when stuff comes apart... but it breaks way too easy for me..

  • More light! More light! More light!

  • Good video, very informative and helpful. I want people to learn from my mistake. When you bleed the brakes, specifcally when pumping them. Make sure your brake drum is on. If you do not have the drum on, you will destroy the wheel cylinders. Now I have to go through the process of replacing them. What a pain in the ass.

  • thanks for this good demonstration!!

    very helpfull

  • The problem with rebuilding your old wheel cylinders is sometimes they are corroded internally. In the USA the kits are very easy to get but we can get a complete wheel cylinder for only a few dollars more ! The part number for your Civic Wheel cylinder if you have a 3/4" (that's what we have) WK1556. Early Civic takes 11/16" kit which is WK895. Keep your bleeders to the top and drive on !

  • thankes I saved alot of cash because of you help :)

  • Wow, thanks... I like cars but I am basically clueless about them. I want to have a project for my dad and I to do together and this doesnt seem to hard! The wheel cylinders needed replacement anyway and I am glad to see that I can help him and save us some cash!

  • Great work guys, thanks so much. Im terrible at explaining things to my son without just getting frustrated and taking over the situation entirely, and your video has just saved me from blowing my top yet again!!!

  • thank you Dennis! a very informative video, it helped alot!

  • Thanks again fella's :)
