Having a Blast in Mexico

The local method of breaking up rock to put in a swimming pool at the Casa Hamaca Bed and Breakfast (http://www.casahamaca.com) in Valladolid, Yucatan. Old tires are used over the blast hole to keep the rocks from flying around when the dynamite goes "Boom" The blaster first bores a hole in the rock, fills it with power, covers it with tires, fits a fuse and lights it. Then calmly walks away warning the neighborhood by saying "Bomba...Bomba" (bomb). And then Bang! And this is all within 8 feet of the house!
