Nobel Laureate Professor Wangari Maathai planted a tree to commemorate former South African President and fellow Nobel Laureate Nelson Mandela who will be celebrating his 92nd birthday this Sunday. Maathai at the same time called on opponents of the proposed constitution to stop spreading falsehoods.

i hate that bitch called Margret wanjiru. she is a lier, who stole the votes the other day. what an embarrasemment, being pulled out of the parliament bcoz of stealing. and she stil appears in the public. i hate her, she is thier to make money from poor wanachi's who think she is a prophetess.a bg ass lier.what does she know about the constitution? can someone pliz educate her about it b4 she goes around spreading false information. i wish i can get her contacts and i sear i wil cal her.

Maathai, you are rights. I do not understand our leaders, moreso, Kenyans themselves. We need such reasoned arguments about the draft Constitution and not misplaced populism. I still maintain that most of our leaders have no collective memory. If they had any they would have been quick to resettle the displaced persons in Kenya. Why should these Kenyans live like squatters in their own countrol when leaders continue to peddle lies on both sides of the divide? Kenyans, please reform quickly.
