This little snippet is from the Southeast Asian premiere of Tippett's A CHILD OF OUR TIME, with the Orpheus Choir, Siam Philharmonic, Nancy Yuen and Jan Ate Stobbe, soloists, conducted by Somtow Sucharitkul in Bangkok in a concert memorializing Simon Wiesenthal.

Superb work by the soprano and the right balance when the choir joins in.
"The trumpet sounds, within my soul" - but we could barely hear the trumpet.
This is such a difficult piece to get right.

Very beautiful Mr. Somtow!
Please can't you place more from this concert.
I like Tippetts "A Child Of Our Time" very, very much. It's a pity, that we can seldom hear it in the concerthall. Several times I heard the 5 sprituals in concerts, but never the whole oratorium. It takes only about 45 minutes, but for me it is the most beautiful and and surprising oratorium og the 20th century The fuga's are very difficult to sing, but very expressive!
