  • Goodness.... He's my teacher :p

  • Superb work by the soprano and the right balance when the choir joins in.

"The trumpet sounds, within my soul" - but we could barely hear the trumpet.

This is such a difficult piece to get right.

  • I am in the SLSC and will be performing that night...because it is a union hall(of course)..no recordings will be aloud for distribution...i do apologize...please feel free to call the symphony hall to see if there will be any public recordings

  • Please make (if possible) a complete video and put it here on youtube !!!

  • The St Louis Symphony Orchestra and Symphony Chorus along with the IN Unison Chorus will be performing this work one night only...Oct 23, 2009 at 8:00pm

  • Very beautiful Mr. Somtow!

Please can't you place more from this concert.

I like Tippetts "A Child Of Our Time" very, very much. It's a pity, that we can seldom hear it in the concerthall. Several times I heard the 5 sprituals in concerts, but never the whole oratorium. It takes only about 45 minutes, but for me it is the most beautiful and and surprising oratorium og the 20th century The fuga's are very difficult to sing, but very expressive!

  • i was thinking that the choir had their work cut out being quite small , but then i saw it was the orpheus choir !!!

  • wow!

  • I loved that production.
