It would be pretty awkward if he was gay. As this song is about Paul and Jesus... He also has countless christian folk songs.

A good friend of mine gave me a mix CD with a dozen Sufjan rare songs. This was the first track, first track and I was already in tears. I still get water up. Takes me back again. Hope to work with Sufjan someday at Asthmatic. Thank you.

Been an Elliott Smith fan for a long time, just started getting into Sufjan (ha, already assuming first name terms with him) - absolutely love his voice and music. The variety in his instrumentation is awesome.
A lot of his music, but this song especially, reminds me of Elliott Smith, and I love Sufjan for that.
