  • Well my car for example in this particular race (the #65 Dick Danielson Buick) I believe ran a fuel injected Chevy V6 with 274c.i. pushing something about 500HP and 400lbs of torque. In other races it ran a V8 and It now has a period correct 23 degree Trans Am motor in it, 313ci engine with 650HP and closer to 500lbs of torque @ 7500RPM (9000RPM redline on these wasn't uncommon).

  • Are these 351 cu inch cevys.

How much do these cars weigh and what is their horsepower and torque?

  • oh and it weights 2690lbs wet with the driver.

  • The Fords were 310 CU in V8's based on 8.2 Deck Height, but using C3 Canted valve heads and Hollley 4BBL, Horsepower approching 600. Very reliable. Loved top RPM.

  • The #65 Buick is very adaptable to be able to fit a V6 or V8 in it.

What road car is this Buick based on?

What are the top speeds in each gear for the V6 Buick, redline, car dimensions, wheelbase and have any acceleration tests been done on the V6 like 0-60mph and standing quarter mile?

What is it like driving on this circuit and I heard in the 2nd clip that Wisconsin was your home state?

  • wow, that is cool, you say that about the sound of the Trans am cars, they were in a class of they're own, and I used to live in Bowmanville, so I got to Mosport all the time. I miss going up there :-(

  • so so happy that trans am is trying to make a come back in 2009 with muscle Milk as a series sponsor :-)

  • That's gotta be the rarest of all race video's! Concrete Pete passed somebody without HITTING them!

  • That was one of my favorite sounds from back then aswell, I got to hear it when they were coming down into Moss corner at Mosport

  • Man... I LOVED watching the XR4Ti at LBGP! Used to tell my Dad when I was young, "There goes tweetie bird!" Since it was somewhat yellow, and made a VERY loud twee-ee-ttee sound down shifting. That wastegate letting out 30+ psi of boost... AMAZING CAR!!
