This is the same spider from my earlier videos. Just reformated and spliced together to make one single video. This might be a brown recluse. I'm not an arachnologist so I can't positively ID it. The spider lives up in the ceiling of my enclosed porch, about 12 ft up. The video shows the spider catching and wrapping prey.

You're right, she's a common Southern house spider. They are cool creatures, harmless to people. Great eco-friendly fly catchers.:)

Nyaaa Neko is very pleased with your video. It has been favorited because Neko likes the music, fits the ambient of both something related to one of our biggest fears, spiders, which is always missinterpreted as darkness, and it fits with the beautiful circle of life...And death. :3
