don't really get why people like dictation text.. do you really want people to hear you when you're texting? for that, I use calling. Voice is for calling and typing/swiping is for text in my opinion

I've been having issues with Swype too. Losing its registration all the time.
Using TouchPal was very impressive to me though. Maybe some of the swiping down for the alt characters was a settings issues perhaps. Not sure. As far as the dictation it may be having trouble with your accent. I'm really liking a keyboard called Flex T9 right now. It uses the Dragon dictation engine and seems to work pretty well. It also uses the swiping words like this keyboard and Swype.

@androidfunmore It's not really a good idea to compare then directly. It depends whether you prefer to tap or to swipe....
