The New CNG Camry Concept Car

Toyota is already a market leader in fuel efficient and clean cars like the Prius, but now they're going even further with their new CNG Camry Hybrid. CNG stands for compressed natural gas, which burns much cleaner and is far cheaper than standard gas and is available domestically. Natural gas, unlike standard gas which goes into most cars, produces almost zero smog causing pollution and contains less carbon than natural gas, thus emitting less carbon dioxide when it is burned. If all this sounds great, the problem is that natural gas vehicles don't have a huge driving range, which is a major problem since so few fueling stations sell natural gas. That's why Toyota's hybrid technology is the perfect choice to combine with a natural gas engine. The Toyota CNG Camry has a range of 250 miles before you'll need a fill up, which will make it much more reasonable to drive considering the fact that there are only 1,000 Compressed Natural Gas filling stations in the country. But when you are paying 10 cents a gallon less for your natural gas, getting great mileage with your Toyota hybrid technology, and emitting far less CO2 than everyone else on the road, the inconvenience of finding your closest Natural Gas fueling station will not seem so bad. @jnnycliff I think this woman is stupid. CNG is like $1.50 a gallon or so depending where you are it is cheaper. And gasoline is about $5.00 a gallon now.

@trousien it'll be a while, sadly. chrysler bought the patent to a hydrogen fuel cell engine design right before the government bought them out....errr, bailed them out, lol

so we probably wont see that shit until gas is completely depleted, unfortunately.
