  • that was a terrible way to handle the fire... when the video started it looked like they should have been finishing up operations and doing overhauling and then they lost control. i have seen more serious fires get handled quicker and easier than this which was originally a small easy job. and i dont know what up with the one commenter but you dont need a tower ladder on all fires. nice video Todd. if u need a helper send me a comment or get in touch with me you know my dad Jim from engine 123

  • Tell Dad Hello & Happy New Year!

  • Here's an idea, let's break every damn window and feed that fire the air it needs to blow thru the roof. Busting every window is not the answer, and I guarentee that fire would have been knocked down had they not broke every window.

  • Er, I am no firefighter or expert, but that thick smoke you see thats billowing out the roof at 2:45 and out the first floor soffit just seems to indicate to me that the fire is nearby, its NOT small, but starved for oxygen, and the first bit of air it does get when it burns through whatever is keeping it in check, its going to accelerate, and accelerate extremely quick..

    Sorry, just an observation..

  • what caused the roof to go back up in flames like that

  • Judging by some of the comments, some of you should take a break from playing fireman, and take a few english classes!

  • hey good work evergreen. u guys are a good group of men (and women). Im from a small town smack dab center of Illinois and i went to the U of I with their cadets at the time. pretty good group of people learned a lot from their crew. if any of u went send me a message and see whats up.

  • The roof, the roof, the roof is on fire!

  • crazy way too get too the fire!!! It's not normal too break everything in the house, we in the netherlands have an other way too fight the fire.

  • Evergreen Pk FD i think is pretty big on keeping fires very simple, such as like if theres a fully involved residential structure fire that should be at least upgraded to a box, EP keeps it a full still they send like their entire shift/ apparatus to these things 2 Engines a truck there Snorkel, and 2 Ambos are usually what they send to any stills but this fire should have been upgraded to a Box and a RIT team should have been assembled btw 94th and Springfield is right by my ex gfs house lmao
