  • fuck the retirees, most of the made four times what they should have and can draw social security now anyway. Most of them have two houses and new cars and several hundred thousands in the bank while non UAW workers struggle to feed thier families. I have absolutely no sympathy for them. While the rest of of toil to survive, they are the chosen ones who have earned the right to plunder a great company for their entitlement because they are special. Fuck Them.

  • Yeah, for once I disagree with KO. Much as it sucks to layoff workers, the D3 shouldn't get handouts for making sub-par auromobiles. Let them burn I say.

  • Set their products to auction basis on internet and let the customers negotiate financial rate with the unions so the unions get feedback of their works directly from their customers. Unions have to involve in sales so they can even produce foreign-domestic mixed breed products. When they involve with customers, customers will protect them, not just their hired lawyers.

  • Auction basis those sales for vehicles, then allow Auto-Union to strike finance deals with the customers for their products, so they can adjust the mortgage rates every quarter year. Make it or break it, Auto-Union have to beat Korean with 120000 miles warranty.

  • Pat Buchanan says hes appalled at Southern politicians who helped engineer subsidies to foreign auto companies but now refuse to assist Detroit. "[W]hy this "Let-them-eat-cake!" coldness toward U.S. auto companies? General Motors employs more workers than all these foreign plants combined. And, unlike Mitsubishi, General Motors didn't bomb Pearl Harbor."

  • WRONG! they fought for what they earned, they risked their jobs to fight for a better way of life. maybe you should fuck yourself for not doing the same

  • Nissan workers are paid $24 an hour in Mississippi and $26 an hour in Tennessee, but company officials would not disclose employee bonuses.

  • Toyota Motor Corp. gave workers at its largest U.S. plant bonuses of $6,000 to $8,000, boosting the average pay at the Georgetown, KY, plant to the equivalent of $30 an hour. That compares with a $27 hourly average for UAW workers, most of whom did not receive profit-sharing checks last year or the year before. Toyota would not provide a U.S. average, but said its 7,000-worker Georgetown plant is representative of its U.S. operations.

  • if american car companies build such a poor product, how come in gm out sold toyota by nearly a million vehicles? patriotism isnt allowed as an answer :)

  • yeah, well if you sit at a cpu all day, and dont actually do physical labor for a living you get good at typing. apparently it messes your mind up a bit too. makes you think your among the elite and maybe you might smoke a pipe too. your puncuttion looks a bit like mine, so you must be a laborer like me and we just dont matter to SOME ppl. i'd rather have bad puctuation then push a pencil all my life :)

  • i wasnt quoting you, i was quote the ppl who always say if you dont like what you make, its a standard line. and yes...if you read motor trned they do make a inferior product. if you actually work on cars and know a bit about them, you know the truth. golden parachutes? whats that....a pension? a pension is a golden parachute? i want what your smokin
