Darby's dead. It's one thing to talk shit about the guy when the original is still around. The new guy was a fill-in because the Germs wanted to tour again.

@BarrioPunkRock You can hear some of it on the live CD they recently released of this last performance "Live at the Starwood - Dec 3, 1980". For anyone there, it's good to have for memories. 31 years ago, shit!

In the earlier part of the concert, stuff like "We just wanted to show you what the Germs was like." and "You won't see this again".

I just listened and heard "if you're gonna throw beer, do it in the bottle"-Shit!

At the end, "Did you learn anything? Another crowd bites the dust."

@Deion1017 Darby died Dec 7th, and John Lennon died Dec 8th, but by the time Darby's news hit the papers, Lennon was on the news...I really was more interested in Darby of course...but pop is pop.

@scottudell Actually, the show was December 3rd, 1980. I was lucky enough to have decided to drive up and try to get in. After waiting in line, we got in(for $6 I think), but a lot of people were still waiting in line. When we got in, Middle Class had just started (there was one band before that we and everyone else waiting in line didn't see). It was a great show, but Darby kept saying shit that was foreshadowing his suicide..kind of freaky. I got a beer bottle on the head from the balcony too.
