Shankar Verma lives in poverty with his mother, Shanti. His father, Sathpal falls in bad company and leaves the house for an untrustworthy woman named Meerabai. Years later, Shankar grows up. Sunita is the only daughter of wealthy Bhanu Pratap whereas Madhu lives in poverty with her parents. Both of them misconstrues that Shankar has fallen in love with them. A wealthy woman named Amita who wants Shankar to spy on Bhanu Pratap hires him. Shankar goes on this task and reports his findings to Amita regularly. One day, while talking to some villagers, he finds out that his father had a bad reputation and had not only betrayed Bhanu Pratap, but had also killed Bhanu's brother, Shashi. Is this the truth? Will Shankar forgive his father for such a brutal crime?
