  • first thanks for the effort of teaching. second you got it wrong, there are THREE events here not TWO.. cloudy or sunny as you mentioned. instead we have Cloudy or sunny or cloud/sunny. thus gives

    P(cloudy) = 3/5 = 0.6 = 60 %

    P(sunny)= 1/5 = 20%

    P(cloudy/sunny) = 100 - (P(cloudy) + P(sunny)) = 20 %

    or P(cloudy/sunny) = 1/5 = 20 %

  • ty so much i have a math test tomorrow and this is way more fun then studying from notes.

  • This guy explains things so clearly! hes a great teacher!

  • thanks

  • Thank You Internet

  • He said that wrong, you divide the dement

  • @tia0416 the division is actually a ratio. probabilities are usually calculated in ratios or percentages. for example the probability of having a sunny day out of the 5 days is 2 out of 5 hence 2/5

  • so u count Friday as cloudy AND sunny???

  • i dont get how its divided can you help me with that
