McCormick played in three games in his junior season and was KU's top receiver before going down with a season-ending ACL injury in the third game of the season against Lock Haven. He had 14 catches for 241 yards and five touchdowns. In the season opener against Saint Anselm, he brought in a season-high 127 receiving yards and three scores. He averaged 80.3 yards per game. The Golden Bears won a school-record 11 games in 2011 and won their first PSAC Championship. Kutztown was the No. 3 seed in the NCAA Division II Super Region One playoffs and advanced to the second round.
