Termite swarming will become more intensive and noticeable in Dallas -- Ft. Worth in the early spring. And with the swarms come the phone calls from nervous DFW homeowners seeking termite control to protect their cherished investment. To prepare for these anxious phone calls ABC Home and Commercial Services holds training each year in their Dallas -- Ft. Worth Metroplex offices.
"We make sure that everyone of our people in the field has the best training. That's why every year we bring in termite specialist Dr. Bob Davis of the Termite Institute, to update our folks on the latest methods and materials for dealing with these hidden invaders," says Dennis Jenkins, President and owner of ABC Home and Commercial Services of DFW.
ABC Home and Commercial are National Leaders in Termite Control
"ABC is one of the more proactive pest control companies in the nation when it comes to preparing their people for the coming termite season," said Dr. Davis at the annual training held March 24th at the offices of ABC.
Each year ABC technicians, both rookies and veterans, are required to attend Dr. Davis' termite control training course, something that is imperative to deal with the upcoming season. "They're coming. There's nothing we can do to stop that," said Jenkins, "But how we prepare our people for swarm season, in my opinion, is what places us among the top tier pest control providers in the nation."
Stop Termite Damage Before it Starts
In the US, termites strike five times as many homes as fire, and do more economic damage annually than all tornados, hurricanes, and windstorms combined, over $3 billion worth of damage annually. The most common species is the Eastern Subterranean Termite. And as the name suggest they dwell underground and in dark places. "They build small dirt like tubes up the foundation, from the soil to the structure," says Jenkins, "This camouflages them from most homeowners. The only time they are highly visible is when they are swarming."
It's definitely best to protect your home before this annual swarming event starts. If you feel you may have a termite issue or just want the peace of mind that comes with the elimination of the possibility of termite problems in the future, give ABC a call for a free evaluation today or comment on this blog an let us know what you are seeing.
