@yoyoquadman In many of the approaches I myself have been a passenger on, most pilots actually toggle the speedbrakes alot.. They don't take it to the max, but they will for much of the time be a little deployed in order to keep a stable descent rate in rough weather..
@yoyoquadman It is not very good to use "speed brakes" or spoilers on a clear day, but in such bad weather conditions like these it is more than necessary.
