@BajoMoPre hey... if you transmit a lot its not going to last long. 4 hours of flight in Chicago area will kill the battery. but if you plan to monitor ATC it can hold 20h continuously with no problem.

I own A-24 since 2007... very happy with the quality. Works perfect on the ground and in the air. VOR is useful feature. No problem with ATC while in Cessna 172, ICOM works almost as good as on board radio.

Wow! Gratest sound on AIR BAND! Quality as on Narow FM!:)) I had Sony AIR-8. AIR-8 is great. But this device - is GREATEST:)

Is it normal for the battery have a little crack in between??? I just got the RaDIO for my husband and he really likes it but I noticed this little crack and I am a little concern.....

I live 45 min from the nearst airport.. in dominicsties.. if i have one of thosse can i hear it from where i live and the international airport i live 1 hour and 35 min from can i hear`?

You will probably only hear the planes (when they fly ) not the airports controlers . the more the plane is high the more distance radio waves travels
