Winter Harps Avalon video, about the death of King Arthur, was filmed for Bravo Television on a remote beach on British Columbia's west coast.
According to legend, after the 12th great battle, King Arthur was mortally wounded. Queen Guinevere (Winter Harp singer Lori Pappajohn) says her final farewell to King Arthur before three mysterious queens appear from the sea and transport him to the Isle of Avalon.
The video also features nyckelharpa player Joaquin Ayala as well as percussionist Lauri Lyster on the udu (clay pot).
The director was Bruce Spangler.
Joaquin Ayala was also in charge of the boat the queens sailed in. The Viking boat had been sitting for years outside the local Scandinavian centre. As the wooden boat was very old, it had numerous holes and therefore didn't float. Joaquin spent several weeks fixing it up. It finally floated with the help of 3 heavy-duty bilge pumps. • Awesome! I am familiar with Winter Harp's Christmas music, but this is something new to me. Simply enchanting.

  • Beautiful. I'd love to see a 720p resolution version!

  • Great, great music

  • pure Magic

  • Greetings and thankyou from the Isle of Avalon - a beautiful video and song

  • I love this Song its my favorite Music

  • Thank you for this magical creation :-))))

  • Eildon is probably where it all happened

  • It's a nice video, but the make up on the women isn't right for the time period, especially on the older woman. Last time I looked, they didn't wear thick eye liner back then. Too contemporary looking. A nice song and video overall though.

  • I've seen them twice in concert. I wished there had been more mood setting lighting at the Alix Goldin Theatre where I saw them a couple of years ago. It was very cold and stark. More candle light and amber/gold lighting from the lighting direction would help to enhance the lovely the stage set and music.

  • I saw Winterharp! A magical Christmas concert, a preformance fit for a King in midieval England. If you see a poster for a Winterharp concert... GO!!!

  • Absolutely beautiful! Winterharp in concert is definitely a show not to be missed. Brave Lori and Winterharp!
