  • What is the temper? Vices? Looks great on vidio, but how are they to handle in real life? Are they for pro's, or can a everyday horse person handle them? Am used to quarter horeses , and thouroughbreds. Quite a gammit , but I ike to research before I commit. Any info would be great!

  • @MsShoosh1

My horse was a difficult one, though I tink it was because he had a hard time as colt. (5 owners in 3 years).

He was a one man horse and could be realy stressed out and hard to communicate with, but he slowly grew better. When I sold him, his new owner had to start from the beginning again.

So if you are looking for a friesian and don't want a big challenge, be sure you find one that have had a great time as colt. They are unbelievable individuals, so find the right one :)

  • Lancelot, thats not a official friesian horse name right? I live in Friesland. And here are official friesian names: Hyke, Wietske, Jesse etc. It's the friesian talk haha

  • @ichlibetomkaulitz Nope his original name was Gerrit van Welgelegen. But I didn't like it so I changed his name :)

  • you've done a great job here, Enya just does it, brilliant horse anyway!! (own a friesian too). Best horses in the world !!

  • They are realy beautiful!

  • He sure recovered nicely! I hope he's still well, and stays just as gorgeous!

  • @MsShoosh1 They're generally very smart and quick to learn, as well as gentle and sweet. How they handle will depend on how they've been raised, of course, so it's a little different with each horse. They can be energetic, but if you're used to Thoroughbreds it shouldn't be a problem at all. Friesians are great horses :)

  • Beautiful frisian... I miss the one I used to ride so much... the music's just perfect with it... great video :)

  • @Senyeratheonly Hahaha, yeah! Gerrit is also a tipical friesian horse name! Did you buy Lancelot in the Netherlands? :D

  • Lovely horse. So nice to see a non conventional owner too. I have an all Black Welsh Cob who is offten confussed with a friesian. My horse has a powerful brain and he is quickly learning tricks.

  • Beautiful animals, I have one and would love another.
