Two weeks ago, I was ecstatic after getting accepted to my first choice law school. I told my immediate and extended family at once, and what do I get? An aunt who looks at me and turns back to the tv without any congratulations and cousins who give me this little half smile and go back to playing with our nieces and nephews. Nothing. I've been racking my brain since then wondering what I did wrong bc none of my friends reacted like this. It's obvious now why they reacted the way they did.
