Here are two examples from Bed Bath & Beyond and Amazon of packaging that makes very little sense. You wonder how these decisions get made.

Sorry I'm lit from behind. I just wanted to make a quickie and didn't spend a lot of time setting it up.

  • Wow, yah, that is really messed up.

I remember when I quit smoking, I got a free present from the cig company.... a pair of sunglasses, in a 2 foot by 2 foot by 3 foot box that told me I was a winner.... lol!

  • Wow, that's the most ridiculous one I've heard yet.

  • First, let John know, they sell pencils here in Houston. Unless it was one of those special "space" pencils that writes upside-down or something.

Second, I bet the problem got introduced at the gift-wrapping level. Two separate people probably wrapped the gifts. Since they don't have the option "Wrap all items in this order in the same package", they have to assume they are for two people. Speculation, but just a guess.

Third, the light from behind means you're being divinely inspired.

  • Thor never did like Bed Bath & Beyond much.

  • It sounds like Amazon is either using outsourced packers... OR, they have disgruntled domestic packers that are taking their frustrations out on your shipments!

  • These were two-day shipments, so they'd better not be outsourcing the packing! =)

  • never had any bad experience with amazon. i just buy movies not other stuff. maybe buy books or CDs too.

  • no, dont ask why do you need to do that? Ask why do you need to make such a stupid waste of time video.

  • Damn you had to do a video of this? Much time in ur hands!

  • @Prepoceros hahahaha! I made a video like this too, I got a toaster cover, same thing, big box filled with packing material, that should have been in an envelope. had to pay for shipping too!

  • I've shopped with Amazon for several years and am also a third party seller. I assume, by the look of those boxes, these came directly from Amazon. When buying more than one item, you probably will to get them delivered separately because Amazon has several warehouses around the country. I often order several things and they come in different boxes from separate locations.

  • Toooo Uglyyy.

  • yeah well these days you need sciccors te open the sciccors package:S:S

  • The Idea is to keep people working for

these companies to not loose your

Items. that is Five Finger Discounts.

The Items Tend not to make it to there destination. for say. Garntee that Ill see a bigger box in my van or airplane ext.

versious a little ittty bitty box. Not trying to

be Wastfull . It would be just to easy for your carrier to hide something that small

in there pockets . WareHouse thifs are very common. Some times it whole groups who perform the actions.

  • Obviously, YOU don't care, but you will when the next new landfill opens next to your neighborhood.

  • who cares about green thinking
