Elgato Overview

Wouldn't it be nice to view, or even capture, free HD content? Well many major networks do broadcast, in both HD and SD, over the air (ota) to supply you with free video content. To begin the content doesn't cost you anything directly but you wiil need something, like the elgato eyetv 250 plus or the elgato eyetv hybrid, to capture that content. I have been testing the elgato eyetv 250 plus, which costs $200, and I have to say it does a great job but the internal antenna does nothing for me. For $200 I would have liked for this device to be able to pick up, at least, a handful of channels. Of course this depends on your location but just keep that in mind.

Is it possible to record from a PAL device if I'm living in north America? I mean, I want to play with a PAL n64 on my NTSC Mac. Is it possible with the EyeTv 250 Plus?

no offence but the pinnacle dazzle for mac is a really bad capture card. I would reconmend the elgato video capture. Thats basicly the eye tvs good quality video capture without all the fancy dvr stuff. It sets up exactly like the dazzle too.
