@britfrenir I meant it was short on "Charles In Charge" and after 1982. It was not short on those other shows. "Charles in Charge: stared to use the shortened 1981 version after this and for more episode it seems. The first season used the full 1982 version.
I saw on later seasons they use the jingle from 1981 on the short logo version. It is from shows like The last season of "the Incedible Hulk" and the second season of "Magnum PI". The jingle it self is made short too like this one is.
Too bad most of the DVD sets have that done to them. I seen this on their VHS releases too. They have not blacked their logos on some DVDS and VHS tapes though.
Universal has been known to cut the original logos and put the current movie logo at the beginning of any of their TV shows that they release on DVD, so it's not at all surprising that they did that.

Yep.
Other shows that also used the 1981 Universal-TV logo were:
- Quincy, M.E. (the 2nd-to-last season of that show used the 1981 jingle)
- Simon & Simon (the bulk of the1st season)

@britfrenir Yes, the 1st several episodes of the 1st season of Charles in Charge do indeed use the full Low Tone 1982 Universal TV logo.

There are some episodes that have the normal length one though.

A very nice logo!

They did put the current movie logo at the beginning of it. However, the Season Two DVD still has the short 1981 logo intact on all episodes.
