The University of Chicago Law School is proud to present the 2011 Dewey Lecture in Law and Philosophy.
This year's speaker is Joshua Cohen, the Marta Sutton Weeks Professor of Ethics in Society and Professor of Political Science, Philosophy, and Law at Stanford University. The lecture, entitled "Democracy v. Citizens United?," was originally scheduled to take place at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 2, 2011, but it was postponed because of the blizzard. Professor Cohen instead came to campus on April 20, 2011. It was held in the Weymouth Kirkland Courtroom at the University of Chicago Law School.

There is only an Illusion to democracy because' most laws are forced with no vote and no representation'; Why are people paying income taxes to a Hub of despotism' it would a great thing is lawyers actually began working to protect the rights of the people, but the people have an obligation as well within the intrinsic education of thier children' Philosophy NOT GOD or religion

Why have the people been given Religion and the law philosophy when philosophy is explaining whats real' so where is there any balance to any sense of moral guidance when God is a concept' ? What is this all about
Jurisprudence Is the right of the Jury to question the law as well as the facts to any case' The prudence of the people can only be predicated within a common paternal sense to order if there is to be a measure in purpose' There is no definition to any purpose unless agreed upon
