dude, i had the same problem, i did this to my xl-5 and it works great, all i did was order a cheap pair of tires that fit my truck, and i made sure they werent pre glued like the ones that come on your truck(i have one just like it) and yea i took a bunch of screws and stuck them in the tires, then put them on the rims that i also ordered, and slapped em on my truck and it drives just as good as it does in the summer, hope this was usefull have fun and dont crash
