Normally used for fingerpicking, but I thought i'd see how it handles hard struming.

  • I had acrylic nails on in this video which make guitar sound very bright.

Sounds better with natural nails or a plectrum.

  • This is my dream guitar...unfortunately, its too expensive for my pocket...never the less i had the opurtunity of playing a 515ce on 2 or 3 ocassions...i think it is a very balanced guitar and that its good for both strumming and finger picking...its a Taylor...what can i say?!

  • Some people think (and Taylor honchos enforce the idea) that Cedar is not as good for strumming as it is for fingerpicking. I heartly disagree. Cedar is the equivalent on acoustics for humbucker pickups in electrics.

  • I think it still sounds great strummed. I think all Taylor guitars sound great fingerpicked or strummed.
