@o0ItsumoUreshii0o The Polish were Christian, specifically Catholic. I cannot remember if the Lithuanians had converted to Christianity by 1410, but previously they were pagan and had many gods.

@o0ItsumoUreshii0o Baptism of Poland was in 966 - with the baptism of Mieszko I, who was the first ruler of the Polish state. Lithuania get baptism from Polish state in 1388 from first bishop of Vilnus - Andrzej Jastrzębiec. Battle of Grunwald was in 1410. Question is what God represented the German Teuthonic Knights? Probably it was this very known and exclusive "God mit Uns" - The God only for Deutsche.

@WhiskeyInTheJar9015 They did wore it in XIII century.Later it was considered pagon-like so they abbandoned it.It did not have any specific function.It looked scary.
Thats the reason why I love old Polish movies about middle ages. Always historical, real and none of that hollywood bullshit.
