@jusres cheers dude. i did four last year, but i only really do them for fun/ a bit of a challenge. im still no where near good enough really (theres just not much competition in the uk)
@Pawl2 well squatting is good for maximal strength. but snatching is a much more explosive movement (as the you need to apply enough force for the bar to fly up above your head). so as one part (a fairly big part) of a training program, it can really help to increase your vertical jump and general explosive power in the legs. the trade off, snatching is very hard to learn and there are alternatives such as barbell jump squats.
what are the benefits of the snatch and the clean + jerk? are you using these exercises in order to improve an aspect of your parkour training? for personal achievement? for healthier legs overall? sorry for all of the questions, I have never seen or heard of these exercises before seeing your videos, and I am curious!
