This unusual hourglass-shaped structure with flow features is located in Promethei Terra at the eastern rim of the Hellas Basin on Mars, and most likely formed by glaciers of possibly water ice.

  • Seasonal Brine cycles allow the opportunity for life to be viable and would also explain the methane in the atmosphere, it would also allow the preservation of microbial life during the periods of inactivity. Looking at the life cycle of methane and its cyclical concentration, it is evident that there is a process in equilibrium with the environment's patterns. Life is absolute on Mars.
