A russian 1968 cartoon, "The Little Mermaid" based on the fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen. Subtitled by me in English. The ending is not the sugary-sweet Disney one, but follows the fairy tale closely.

ive never seen this vesion of the little mermaid its a very interesting one , the mermaids are nice cause they dont look like the usual memaids drawn in cartoons , i think their faces n hairstyles look a bit like botticelli style of his woman that he draws like venus n stuff .

@1DonoVAN888 I think because she wouldn't be believed. I saw that in an other version of "The little mermaid", where the prince said to the mermaid (in human form of course) that mermaids just are legendary creatures... so she understood she could never make him comprehend that it was she who saved him... well.. it made sense to me..
