Clean Your Hands 2010 at West Park

A year has passed since West Park first began reporting hand hygiene compliance rates, and the Centre has not only sustained last year's exceptional rates, but has even surpassed them.

West Park's compliance rates for the two hand hygiene indicators before initial patient/patient environment contact and after patient/patient environment contact are 89.42% (up from 88.0%) and 90.61% (up from 88.7%) respectively.

West Park's compliance rates are among the highest in the province and reflect the time and resources devoted to continued education, training and communication over the past year. It also reflects the way in which all staff and physicians continually strive to enhance patient safety.
