Read folks, they got pushed up against the shore, probably ingested something in a water pickup, one turbine shut down, failsafe, the other engine still pushing turns them inboard, guess what! to dead engine side, nifty, they didnt lose steering, they wrestled with it momentarily.

Any boat that gives Gieco a run, is fun to watch... this is part of racing, it happens, don't judge these guys!!!!. When shit happens, it happens quick!!!!

@wes95z28 this video has got nothing to do with steering faliure, besides; a hydraulic steering is just as "mechanical" as a wire steering and just as useless with a burst hose as a wire steering with a snapped wire

@alvinski100 hardly. two engines....one out means you are pushed offline....shutting down other engine decreases offline shift and minimizes crash damage. You know what? If YOU get into trouble in a car, boat or plane, no matter what is happening, "floor it". That'll work out well for both of us.

Throttle and steering is control by to separate guys. Soon as the throttle man new what was going on, he pulled back.

Dumb stupid bitches when u notice u have no steering and ure going that fast turning into another boats rooster tail the first thing u have to do is pull back on the throtle...that guys lucky no one got hurt

@sfowner32 we'll... no steering is because they lost a motor... in racing and anything performance if you're going straight, stay in it. Change something at that speed with a problem and you're likely to hook or worse.
