Dang they move around a lot

I think movement is necessary to an extent, personally I do it unintentionally whenever I really get into the music I'm playing. I'm also playing this piece. I agree that some of them may have exaggerated a little too much with the movement, but at least it keeps people's attention! It sounds amazing :)

Gosh, this is such a gorgeous piece. I'll never get tired of it.

Wow, the first part clarinet. such an amazing tone. the entire 1st flute and 1st clarinet really connected in the end of this piece and it was enjoyable to listen to. I think every phrase seemed to really weave together beautifully. I don't think the ritard with the first flute was off........i've heard this performed several times, and it may not be technically challenging but it is hard not to over do the phrases and maintain their simplicity. I think they did a fantastic job. Bravo!

I think this is a really good recording.
But at the end the 1st flute a wrong ritardando changing the rhythms of the terzinas, moving the accent out to the beat

For contrabassoon or Bass tuba

@emotsunami13 The Contrabassoon in this and his other pieces for this instrumetnation is typically written in the score and on the part as "Contrabasson/ Contrabasse Tuba" My personal preference is with Contrabasson, as I find it blends a little better with the ensemble as a whole. I am in an ensemble that just finished playing his Suite in Bb (same insturmentation) and we did it with a Tuba player. He used an F Tuba to help keep it lighter, but it is still better with the contrabassoon.

Played this in college eons ago. As I recall, its specified for Contrabassoon and/or doubled with BBb Contrabass Clarinet. This is a good performance. Congrats to the performers!

These are very fine players, but I think it would have been a little bit better with a conductor. There were minor note length disagreements within the ensemble.
Overall very good.
stupid question: Is the contrabassoon part writeen specifically for contrabassoon? or is it a tuba part?
