i think this movie was more or less fred putting a knife in the AU series... i don't believe it was supposed to be as fucked up as the previous two...The dead baby scene kind of hinted at some morality, hence the end.. random note, you can see a body in the tub at the end behind crusty...couldn't make out who it was.... most likely fred.

Penance was not disturbing one bit, on a shocking violence level. On the actual downward spiral of the killers, this was the most disturbing of the series. The last scene made me sad.

Penance was not violent, the violence was just in there to supplement the storyline and show that it is at its core, and exploitation film. But I think the directors actually went deeper with this one, and actually gave it a plot. This was the best in the series, and I don't know how you could find it boring.
