@matsui2001 if you really want colour copies of some top of the pops clips, try and get a hold of abc archives in australia because they have a music show called rage and every now and then the odd clip from top of the pops comes up, but in full colour. last saturday they played come and get it by badfinger and i'd only ever seen it in black and white, but they played it in full colour. maybe abc have tapes that bbc wiped? it was really cool tho seeing it in colour :)

@matsui2001 but most of us were watching in black and white so sort of more authentic for a lot of us! and at least it exists unlike all the amazing TOTPs that were lost

thats amazing i actually remember Noel Edmunds saying that "they dont drink whisky by the glass etc" as he introduced this - I was still 7 and had just started watching Top of the Pops (as opposed to it just being on it the background) and ive always remembered the presenter saying that intro bit ever since- first time ive seen it in over 38 years though!
